About Me

I have been working in the field of music for dance for nearly 30 years, as well as other music and media related fields. I have spent intensive time and effort in playing harpsichord, in musical theater, and in multimedia educational CD-ROM production as sound designer, graphic artist, creative producer, and video producer and editor. I also build things, particulalry instruments, including harpsichords and custom instruments to get that specific sound and feel for modern dance works. Some of these instruments evolve into art works, or inspire art installations that derive from them.

My current creative focus is computer-assisted interactive dance, and specifically in creating improvisational environments for dancers to create music in, with live video involved as well. I am also a scholar, as I enjoy investigating where my art comes from and speculating on where it might be leading.

I am also an active member of The International Guild of Musicians in Dance, a professional organization dedicated to promoting the art of music in dance.
